Say hello to the newest member of our TEAm!
Keneisha Herbert has joined us in the role of policy intern. If you attended our Day On The Hill, you definitely saw her in the mix. She is a Nashville native with a passion for public health and majors in it as a senior at Belmont University.
In her words, "I chose public health because the opportunities are limitless and I can make a difference in this field. I am eager to find a career that addresses the significant health and economic disparities in my community."
The future health professional is most interested in investigating the upstream structures and systems that most influence Black health and longevity. Recognizing that TEA advocates for these critical issues and more, made applying for our policy internship position the right choice. She shared, "I am happy to be a part of a team that prioritizes advocating for the Black community."
And we're glad to have her.
Be sure to show Keneisha love when you see her and definitely let us know if you have a public health job opening for her after graduation.
